Twice a year the Colonial Schipperke Club hosts get-togethers for members and non-members, playfully referred to as “SchipNics” (picnics for Schipperkes and their humans). Our SchipNics are typically the first Saturday in June in Arlington, VA, and a Saturday in mid-September in Olney, MD. During the event, people chat while the dogs play.

The club provides the main BBQ dishes, while other attendees bring side dishes and desserts. We often have games for the Schips and a raffle for the humans, which benefits the Schipperke Rescue Network (SRN) and Midwest Schipperke Rescue.

We ask that people leave aggressive dogs or bitches in heat at home but still welcome their humans.
